Silly Boys!

The love of a Dachshund!

I was just dropping P off for a play date and just about ended up in the ER with H. As I went in to chat with the mom about details of the playdate H insisted on coming in with me. I gave in and agreed to take him in. As I was visiting with my friend H was giving their two Dachshunds (weiner dogs) some attention. One came up and was licking him on the face when out of no where it unleashed its furry on H. He got a quick snarl and a bite right on his lip. H being the tough kid that he is didn't cry but wouldn't take his hand off his bleeding lip. When we finally got a close look at it we both thought it was deep enough to warrant a couple stitches. I ended up taking him to my Dr. appt I conviently had that afternoon and asked my doctor if he thought he needed stitches. He thought that it could use one but that the truama of the stitches would be worse and that he would have a scar no matter what. He also said if it were his son he wouldn't do it. So we opted for no stitches and have been pounding on the neosporin. It is healing quite well but H probably won't be asking for a Dachshund for Christmas this year!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and had lots of great food. We had a fun-filled day this year, which included going to the Macy's parade, our own family Turkey bowl, and of course "the meal". The highlight for the boys was seeing the Jonas Bothers, Corbin Blue (High School Musical), Scooby-doo and Shrek upclose and personal at the parade, and "the breaking" of the wish bone. We are so thankful for all of you and the joy you add to our lives. We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break.

Snow!!!!!!!!!!!

These are just a few pics of the boys playing in the first snow fall of the year. They could not wait to get home from school and build a snowman. It was actually raining when they were doing this but they loved every minute of it!

Is it Halloween yet?

Look out Green Goblin! H is on the loose as Spiderman. No seriously, he eats, drinks and sleeps "Spiderman" now that he has made his big decision to be him for Halloween. Here are just a few shots of his every day routine of shooting his webs and saving the day.

Pick a Pumpkin - Any Pumpkin!

It was a "high flying" adventure at Alstede Farms (Chester, NJ) this weekend for our annual pumpkin picking outing. H was on "data" overload and was just trying to process all the fun activities at once: running through the hay tunnel, up the hay stack, on the tractor ride, playing with his friends, and running all over the pumpkin patch. B and P took a little more subdued approach and were very focused on the end goal of picking "the" pumpkin. It was a successfull trip as we came home with 3 pumpkins and 3 very tired little boys.

Rock Concert Anyone?

The boys have already formed their own rock band. H was not to be denied as lead singer. Mom and Dad enjoy many private rock concerts, but have to give our bed up as the stage.

Are You Ready For Some Football!

Ready, set, hike! This is what our Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday's have been full of as B and P are play Madison Rec. Flag Football, with Dad as their coach. They love it. Other than P running the wrong way on his first carry of the season, I think they are understanding the game well. Of course, how can you blame little P for running away from the Bears defense coming at him, primarily made up of 8-year olds.
